Detailed Proposal; What We Are Going To Do For The Music Video
I decided to work by myself for this project, even though it means doing all the work by myself it is going to be easier in the way, I don’t have to rely on anyone else, that might fail me.
My artist Sam (Arkaic) and Leslie, his manager are who I am working with. They are both very supportive towards me and assisting me whenever I have needed help. As Sam, is a professional artist it makes me more pressurized due to the fact they require a top notch video. But I think the added pressure is good, it keeps the artist very involved in the video as he wants it to be able to release on television but also it keeps me on my toes as it needs to be top notch.
The music video is going to be set in the studio and also in St Giles House Hotel. We wanted to mix the two together so there is a mix of the two settings which will add depth and difference to the overall look of the video. The studio is going to be used for mainly the chorus and a few other sections too. We want to use green/blue screen as well so we can edit the background in Photoshop to tie in with the whole of Arkaic’s look! Also using a white background so that we can use the white background to change the colour of the background with the beat possibly. Keeping the neon theme running throughout the video. For the hotel, we are using it to create a narrative for the music video as this is what Sam wanted to create, right from the very first meeting together. The hotel is a very luxurious hotel, which ties in well with the whole look of the video. With ease of access as its in the city centre and with also Sam working there too, it makes a great opportunity for us to give the music video a bit of class mixed into it.
For the music video we want to use a variety of different styles, using a variety of camera angles, which are going to be quite snappy to fit in with the beat of the track. We want to use a lot of different editing techniques too, to show the different styles that I can do as well as keeping the video watchable all the way through, to make sure the viewer is entertained and watches the whole video.
